Your level of self-confidence determines how well you carry yourself in everything that you do. However, feeling confident is not always easy. There are many people who struggle with low self-esteem, especially when confronted with adversity or when stepping outside of one’s comfort zone. Confidence may not come naturally to you, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be learned.
Ways to boost your confidence:
1. Use Positive Self-Talk
Where do feelings of insecurity come from? These are thoughts of our self-doubts. When you doubt yourself and consider what has gone wrong in the past as well as what could go wrong in the future, your confidence level will plummet.
Begin speaking more positively to yourself. When you become more aware of how you speak to yourself, you will discover that you can use your positive thoughts to directly boost your confidence.

4. Learn to Accept Feedback Objectively
Have you ever received negative feedback from a coach, teammate, parent, or anyone else? It is understandable that you may not want to admit this because you believe you are tough enough to handle it and feedback can sometimes hurt you.
However, if you want to boost your confidence, you must learn how to effectively receive feedback. And by that, it really means to take them objectively. When we are objective, we almost appear to be looking at the situation apart from ourselves. Every word spoken is not taken personally. You can listen, examine, and then act on the information.

6. Develop Self-Awareness

Discovering your limiting beliefs provides you with valuable information which you can use to change them. You can also use your daily writing practice to remind yourself of what went well the day before or the day before that. This will reinforce the memory of success and instill a sense of self-belief.
8. Practice Visualization
Visualization is the practice of creating a mental scene. You can recreate a real-life scene by closing your eyes and bringing in all of the details and emotions that go with it. This is one of the most effective ways to build confidence, as it allows you to visualize achieving success over and over again.
You won’t get very far if you don’t have self-confidence. Whatever work you may do, you must always believe in yourself and that you have the necessary skills to succeed.
