Operations Assistant - EPIC Online
Orthopedic-impaired

“After resigning from my previous job and losing my life-time partner I felt like my life was devoid of all meaning. I spent most of my time on social networking sites. I soon realized though that this was slowly dragging me down plus I was not earning money to pay my bills through being idle. I decided to attend a 3-month course at SPDMI and was offered, whilst still attending the course, the chance to start working with Genashtim. In June 2011 I joined the company as a Business Development Assistant and later on became a Sales and Marketing Assistant for eCornell.

As this was my first online job it changed my career path and daily life. It enables me to improve my communication skills due to the fact that I deal directly with our clients and my colleagues. Also the money I am now earning is a big help for me as everything around us is getting more and more expensive.

I appreciate what Genashtim is doing for Persons with Disabilities and the privileges they provide for them by being able to work from home. As a wheelchair user it’s not easy for me to go to an office on a daily basis, especially when considering the expenses and time spent on whilst travelling. My wish for Genashtim is that they will grow bigger, enabling them to continuously inspire others who think they have no hope because of their disabilities.”
